Network Administrator


Responsibilities:

• Manages the wide area network connectivity, local area network, application systems and databases through regular monitoring, complete,
accurate back-ups and other specific management tools to ensure its continuous availability, reliability and optimum performance.
• Maintains Servers (Active directory Server, Proxy Server, Email Server, AIX Server, Anti-Virus Server, SMTP Server and Linux Server, Files
Server, Lotus Notes Server and VICS Pymac Servers) through daily or weekly routine back-ups and quarterly maintenance.
• Manages and monitors software licenses.
• Isolates and resolves all issues and concerns regarding the network and infrastructure, systems and databases, desktops and computer
peripherals.
• Identifies and communicates required changes / customizations to the system. Ensures the conduct of maintenance and repair activities
to the system.
• Closely coordinates with vendors / suppliers and cascades computing requirements of the company.
• Provides administrative support in the forms of monthly, annual reports and monitoring the IT team’s schedule.
• Lends general assistance in information technology system requirements for company’s operations.
• Ensures complete analysis of database.
• Implement IT Policies

Performs other functions which maybe assigned by the superior from time to time.

Functional Competencies

• Must have a basic server orientation on how to manage network and hardware peripherals.
• Familiar with basic/advance PC troubleshooting/installation, LAN and WAN application.
• Knowledge on this application and tools : Lotus Notes, Trend Micro, Citrix Navision, SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of: MS Windows 2003 / XP, TCP / IP and associated services (e.g. DNS, DHCP), PC Hardware / Software, Active Directory
/ Group Policy, Exchange Server, and Networking
• Experience with Cisco switches and IP phone systems.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting IT assets like printers, fax machine, photocopier etc.

Education & Training

• Graduate of BS Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering
• People-oriented and can work independently
• Good oral and written English communication skills
• Proficient in Autocad and Networking.
• Preferably with various certifications in Network Administration and related functions

Work Experience

With at least 3 years experience in handling LAN and WAN, softwares and troubleshooting.
